BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A man accused of killing his twin brother was arrested by detectives on Tuesday.

The Baton Rouge Police Department said 56-year-old Timothy Pitts of Buffalo, New York was arrested on a second-degree murder charge after his twin brother Daniel Pitts died from his injuries.

Police said the twin brothers had an incident on Friday, Sept. 16 at their Wallis Street home. According to arrest documents, detectives learned that Daniel had died from his injuries in the hospital on Thursday, Sept. 29.

Daniel’s autopsy results on Friday, Sept. 30 showed that his cause of death was ruled a homicide as the result of blunt force trauma to the head and neck, according to an affidavit.

Timothy was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
