BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The daughter of a Baton Rouge Police Department corporal wants to support the families of the two BRPD officers that died in a helicopter crash.

Cpl. Wallace Britton’s daughter, Amina Britton, will serve lemonade in honor of the fallen heroes from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 22 in the parking lot of the Baton Rouge Police Department, 9000 Airline Highway. The cost of a cup of fresh lemonade will be $1.

Sgt. David Poirrier, 47, and Cpl. Scotty Canezaro, 38, were helping with a police chase on Sunday, March 26 before the helicopter crashed in a field in West Baton Rouge. Both were killed in the crash. They were part of the Baton Rouge Police Department’s Air Support Unit and served for over 15 years.
