Two Baton Rouge police officers terminated for multiple policy violations

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baton Rouge Police Department terminated two officers for multiple policy violations.

An officer was terminated for multiple policy violations during a narcotics investigation, according to a BRPD spokesperson. The officer, 31-year-old Jacob Cowart, was a four-year veteran and was assigned to work in the Narcotics Divison of the police department, according to a news release from BRPD.

Another officer, 41-year-old David MacAulay, was terminated on June 30 for “violating multiple departmental policies,” according to BRPD. MacAulay was a three-year veteran and worked in the Uniform Patrol Division.
