BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD)- Baton Rouge sports bar Pluckers and Rally Cap Brewery are saying goodbye to their busiest season, football season.
Pluckers general manger Norbert Wiener believes football has created the little attraction the business has during the pandemic.
“Today will be almost kind of normal, except we wont have the big crowds in the restaurant,” Wiener said.
For Pluckers the football season is a bread winner, more so ever during the pandemic.
“It’s been really slow, it’s basically like how our hours are during the summer time when a lot of the LSU students are out of town,” he said.
Super bowl Sunday at Rally Cap Brewery will be social distanced and fans watching the game outside.
General manager Kevin Whalin only expects a few tables for game day.
“It’s definitely a struggle” he said.
Despite football season being the best for business, the sports bars are optimistic for LSU baseball season to draw in crowds.
