BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Baton Rouge Alliance for Students recently announced student organizations had been awarded $100,000 for community building. This grant was created to give organizations the needed resources to expand their reach and impact.

The recipients were chosen based on their efforts in the community. The selected grant recipients include:

  • Baton Rouge Youth Coalition, Inc. — $25,000
  • The BRidge Agency Inc. — $5,000
  • Girls on the Run South Louisiana — $5,000
  • The Langston Galloway Foundation — $10,000
  • Power Pump Girls, Inc. — $10,000
  • Redstick C.A.R.E.S. — $10,000
  • The Walls Project — $25,000
  • Young Entrepreneurs Academy of Baton Rouge — $10,000

“The Alliance is committed to building a coalition of community partners who will serve Baton Rouge students and families well,” said Adonica Pelichet Duggan, CEO of Baton Rouge Alliance for Students. “We hope that with  these investments, grantees can advance their initiatives to continue building the robust and vibrant Baton Rouge our community members deserve.”
