BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD)- Saint’s fans and Walk On’s on Burbank Drive are looking forward to a win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
General manager, Dustin Loveless, says the Saint’s season is bringing in business during the pandemic.
“A Saints win is definitely a win for us. That’s why we need them to win tomorrow and go onto next week and generate some buzz and sales and buzz next week too,” Loveless said.
Loveless was looking forward for football season to regain sales. However, the short 2020 LSU football season did not bring enough customers back inside the restaurant.
With the black and gold team in the playoffs, Walk On’s is feeling a bit back to normal.
“Our team does a great job at creating the energy and it also helps when Drew Brees throws a touchdown pass,” Loveless said.
Most of the restaurant sales is coming from the tailgating menu. Loveless says Walk On’s realized they needed to cater to those watching games at home because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“With everyone leaning more towards to go, it has increased sales,” he said.
The New Orleans Saints will host Tampa Bay at the Superdome Sunday, Jan. 17. with kick-off at 5:30 p.m.
