BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The company operating the Zea Rotisserie & Bar in Baton Rouge says the restaurant is set to open in its new location in late summer.
CEO Paul Hutson previously said in August that the restaurant decided to move within Towne Center closer to the Corporate Boulevard roadway for visibility. The building’s move comes with a brand “refresh,” including a new design, modernized bar and dining space and a covered patio and seating area, the company said. The new space will be 7,000 square feet and seat over 200 guests.
The restaurant’s current location is still open daily to diners until construction is finished at the new location.
“We’re planning a smooth transition, so our guests won’t be without their Thai ribs and roasted corn grits for more than just a couple of days,” said Hutson.
Ahead of the grand opening, the restaurant is hiring for multiple positions. The company said job fairs will be held in Towne Center on Wednesday, July 12 and Thursday, July 20 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
“We have an incredible training and leadership program in place at Zea that allows for career growth within the company. There are several employees that have been with us since opening in 2008 and we need more great people to join the Zea team,” said Jeffrey Thibodeaux, area director and general manager of Baton Rouge.
The Zea location in Baton Rouge originally opened in 2008.
