BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre will be holding kids’ auditions for “The Nutcracker – A Tale from the Bayou” in September.
Auditions will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. Sept. 17. The ballet troupe is searching for boys and girls ages 8 to 14 years old for roles as lambs, cherubs, mice, cooks, toy soldiers and party children. Dance experience isn’t required to audition.
The audition fee is $10. There is a $95 rehearsal fee but there are need-based scholarships available.
The holiday show is set for 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Dec. 16-17. Tickets are on sale now.
