BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Baton Rouge police arrested a man accused of a shooting, killing a 30-year-old in July.

Keon Wilson, 42, was charged with second-degree murder after his arrest Thursday, Sept. 7.

Wilson is accused of shooting Jaylan Stanton, 30, in the 200 block of West Johnson Street on July 7. Stanton was reportedly found lying in a grassy vacant lot with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police said the motive for the shooting is unknown.

Wilson was booked into the EBR Parish Prison.
