BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Baton Rouge is ranked 89th on a list of America’s best cities for 2023.

According to a report from the World’s Best Cities, out of 100 of the nation’s best cities, the capital is ranked 89th.

Baton Rouge’s metropolitan population is over 870,000 citizens. It is home to two prominent four-year universities, Louisiana State University and Southern University. Tiger Stadium at LSU has been noticed as an “American Treasure” by the Historic Stadium Caucus and is the eighth-largest collegiate football stadium in the world. The Southern’s Human Jukebox has been deemed one of the best bands by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

Baton Rouge has a cluster of classic restaurants intertwined with modern restaurants with different cooking styles and flavors.

Reports show that Baton Rouge earned a 61 in promotion and a 78 in programming. Promotion includes references and recommendations of the city. Programming refers to the city’s culture, nightlife, and food options.

New Orleans is also on the list sitting at 22nd.
