BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Are you a fan of beer and want to get out of the house this weekend? Cap City Beer Fest is happening this weekend in downtown Baton Rouge.

This year’s festival will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5 at 650 North 4th St.

Attendees will be able to try different brews from vendors like Tin Roof Brewing Company, Gilla Brewing Company, Hoosier Brewing Company, Rally Cap Brewing Company and Parish Brewing Company.

In addition to trying out the different brews, there will also be live music from local DJs, food trucks and rides on Pedal Pub, according to Cap City Beer Fest’s website.

The event is also open for guests to bring their furry friends. Water bowls will be provided around the event and all dogs must be on leashes at all times.

According to Cap City Beer Fest’s website, general admission is $45 and allows attendees to taste all of the different brews with a tasting glass.

With an $85 VIP ticket, guests will have the chance to get a head start an hour early and get a Cap City Beer Fest T-shirt. The designated driver ticket selling for $10 allows those not wanting to sample the different beers to still catch in on the fun. Guests who purchase this ticket will get a bottled soft drink, a mocktail, and a Cap City Beer Fest koozie, according to organizers.

Proceeds for this year’s Cap City Beer Fest will be going toward Companion Animal Alliance, an animal shelter. Click here if you would like to donate to CAA.
