BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — An Economic Empowerment Seminar will kick off a series of events for the Capital Classic in Baton Rouge at the River Center Library on North Boulevard starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5.
The seminar is one of several events being held this week ahead of the big football games for Southern University and LSU this weekend. For a list of all of the events, click here.
The Capital Classic Music Fest will be hosted at Southern University’s F.G. Clark Activity Center on Friday, Sept. 8 by entertainer Hollywood Bay Bay. Event organizers said the concert will be filled with celebrities such as Jeezy, Mariah the Scientist, Sexyy Red, Foxx, B Will, Subtweet Shawn, and many more.
Tickets can be purchased online. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.
At 6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 9, the Southern Jaguars will face off against the Jackson State Tigers in A.W. Mumford Stadium, while the LSU Tigers battle against the Grambling State Tigers at 6:30 p.m.
