BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Six new green buses were brought to the Capital Area Transit System (CATS) fleet on Tuesday.
These new additions bring CATS’ total of BYD | RIDE electric buses to 15.
“We are grateful for our longstanding partnership with the Capital Area Transit System,” said Patrick Duan, Senior Vice President of BYD | RIDE. “With these repeat orders and their ongoing support, we are eager to continue providing sustainable transportation solutions to Baton Rouge.”
The 30-foot electric buses feature industry-leading battery technology, can seat up to 20 passengers, and can work for up to almost 200 miles.
