BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — BREC has been serving the East Baton Rouge Parish community for several decades, offering all kinds of amenities around the area. Three fitness and recreation centers have state-of-the-art equipment.

Finding the right place to work out can be an important decision on the path to staying fit and healthy. A fitness and recreation center’s main goal is to offer equipment that will help you reach your goals. According to BREC, monthly and yearly memberships are available for purchase. Individual monthly memberships are $15 per month and $120 per year.

Here are the three BREC fitness centers that are offered around the Baton Rouge area:

Anna T. Jordan Fitness Center

Anna T. Jordan Fitness Centers are one of three BREC fitness centers that are available throughout the Baton Rouge area. The Anna T. Jordan facility offers monthly memberships and a variety of fitness equipment that will help keep you active. If members are looking for more than just working out, the park also offers a recreation center that is suitable for all ages.

According to BREC, the Anna T. Jordan recreational center underwent renovation and expansion in 2016 that added over 6,000 square feet of additional space. The recreational center offers members a fitness center, conference room, computer lab, new restrooms, storage space and so much more. The fitness center has an indoor and outdoor basketball court, tennis court and a walking track that allows you to enjoy the fresh air.

Milton J. Womack Fitness Center

Milton J. Womack Fitness Center sits on over 20 acres of land and has all of space for guests to be keep active while having a good time. Amenities offered in the two-story building include an interactive recreation room and rentable meeting rooms.

Milton J. Womack Fitness Center is a great place to get a workout. It features a multipurpose field, outdoor walking track and a spacious ballroom.

North Sherwood Forest Fitness Center

The North Sherwood Forest Fitness Centers offers all kinds of amenities that will keep you wondering what else you can explore on your next visit. The facility includes a multipurpose field, outdoor basketball court, tennis court, indoor and outdoor walking loops and much more.

According to BREC, the walking track measures 0.15 miles and is free to use. One of the exciting features is their virtual park, which has technology that is built for physical movement including cycling, snowboarding and dancing.
