BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The East Baton Rouge Coroner’s Office was called to the scene of a shooting early Friday morning, according to emergency medical services officials.
The deadly shooting happened a little before 3:20 a.m. in the 1900 block of West Belfair Drive and took the life of Michael Williams, 44, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department. Detectives arrested 20-year-old Terrynikqua Jones for her reported involvement in the shooting. Jones allegedly shot Williams during an argument related to a domestic incident.
Jones was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of second-degree murder, according to Baton Rouge police.
