BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The City-Parish will host a hiring event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3 at the Human Resources Building, 1755 Florida St.

Job seekers will go through a streamlined interview and hiring process, according to a release from Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome.

The hiring initiative for more than 40 laborer positions across two public works departments will fill immediate needs in the Department of Development Neighborhood Revitalization and the Department of Maintenance, according to the release.

Staff will be stationed around the facility to lead candidates through the application, interview and immediate conditional hiring process.

Attendees must bring their social security card and a government-issued photo ID. According to the release, positions will be provided on the spot.
