BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Baton Rouge Zoo is inviting guests to come out this weekend for their Arts For Animals Festival which will be kicking off at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11.
The event will occur from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo.
Guests will be able to enjoy a day of family fun and a special exibition from Baton Rouge-area artists.
According to the Baton Rouge Zoo’s website, some artists featured at this year’s event include Grace Thompson, Peter Doursey, Jourdan Miley, Kristen Serio and Morgan Udoh.
Melissa Seidule and Josiah Shillow are playing live music as well while the artists do live painting of animals.
According to the Baton Rouge Zoo’s website, Seidule will be performing from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Shillow will be performing from 1-4 p.m. Both performances will be at Conservation Plaza at the front of the zoo.
According to the Baton Rouge Zoo’s website, tickets can be pre-purchased for the event, and general zoo admission is still required. General admission into the Baton Rouge Zoo is $8.75 for adults (13 and up), $5.75 for children, and $7.75 for seniors (65 and up).
