BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A special celebration is planned for the LSU women’s basketball team as Lil Wayne and Latto are coming to the Pete Maravich Assembly Center for a concert.

The concert was set for 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15. It will be a celebration of the national championship won by the Tigers last year. LSU beat Iowa 102-85 to win it all.

Lil Wayne is a Louisiana native who has supported the Tigers in the past. He narrated a hype video for the LSU Lady Tigers before they stepped onto the court against Virginia Tech in the Final Four.

The LSU women’s basketball team received accolades after winning the title including having their national championship win honored on a new license plate. The Lady Tigers are aiming to go back-to-back and have games scheduled against the likes of Colorado, Virginia and Virginia Tech.

Concert tickets can be purchased starting at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17.
