BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Cat Haven, a local no-kill feline rescue center, had its Facebook account hacked.
Cat Haven said that the staff no longer has access to its page and comments on a post about purebred puppies and kittens up for “adoption” is a scam. The comments on the post have been disabled and officials from Cat Haven said they would never ask for financial information through a Google form or ask for a deposit for an adoption application.
Cat Haven said the people who run the page have been informed and are trying to figure out the next steps on how to recover it. Any Facebook posts, comments or messages from this point are not from staff.
Cat Haven asks that people call at 225-636-2680 or email them to verify any information from our Facebook page if you are unsure of its legitimacy.
