BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Louisiana State Police will host its Securing Louisiana Cyber Summit from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 30. Louisiana State Police has teamed up with Evalv IQ for the summit.
The event will be taking place at the Louisiana State Police Training Academy in Baton Rouge.
The Cybersecurity Summit will be led by Colonel Lamar Davis. One of the goals for this year’s summit will be to bring the importance of cybersecurity for small businesses and critical infrastructure, according to LSP.
According to LSP, other speakers will include Paul Matthews from Port of South Louisiana and James Murray, the IT Director for the Louisiana Supreme Court.
LSP said attendees will get the chance to have either a virtual or an in-person experience.
Attendees will be also able to learn the best practices and will be able to use them as Louisiana continues to strive for the advancement of the state’s infrastructure.
