BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Louisiana State University Police Department said there is no threat to campus after a person was detained Monday afternoon.

LSU said on social media that after an initial report of gunshots near the West Campus Apartment, it was learned that a shooting never occurred.

The Baton Rouge Police Department said they made contact with the alleged victim when they responded to the 3300 block of Alaska Street. A man was detained and booked on an active warrant, police said.
