BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office said a man was charged with armed robbery after an incident at a gas station on Friday, Oct. 14.
According to arrest documents, deputies responded to Circle K on Jones Creek Road around 10 p.m. and learned that the victim had been robbed at gunpoint. The victim told deputies that he was outside the gas station when he was approached by two men who ended up taking his phone and his bike. The victim identified one of the suspects as Tyrone Allen, 30.
Deputies obtained video evidence and saw the robbery. Arrest documents said the video showed Allen coming back to the gas station to buy a beer and walking past the victim. The sheriff’s office said Allen was still wearing the same clothes but put on a black hoodie.
Allen was detained and taken into custody. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
