BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A man has been arrested after being accused of being connected to a fire in Baton Rouge.

According to the St. George Fire Department, Johnathon Jordan was arrested and accused of arson. Jordan had been arrested before on the same charge.

Fire investigators said around 9:30 p.m. Aug. 16, Jordan created a flammable substance and placed it near the rear of a rehabilitation center in the 8300 block of Picardy Ave. Investigators believe Jordan used lighter fluid to start the fire.

The fire burned through the night. Employees of the center found the debris upon arriving at work. Over $100,000 in damages were reported.
