BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Officials say there were no injuries after a jackknifed 18-wheeler noon Wednesday, Oct. 11 on I-12 East near the I-10/12 split.

According to the Baton Rouge Fire Department, one of the fuel tanks on the truck was damaged and leaked diesel fuel on the road. Crews were able to stop the leak.

BRFD said there’s no danger to the public and urges people to avoid the area until the truck is removed.

The interstate is back open as of 2:21 p.m.
