BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating after a man was killed in a drive-by shooting on Monday, Oct. 30.

According to the police, the shooting happened around 5 p.m. in the 2000 block of 79th Street. Police said Anthony Mitchell, 31, and other victims were parked when an unknown vehicle drove by and began shooting at them. Mitchell was the only person who was hit.

He was sent to a local hospital but died from his injuries on Tuesday, Oct. 31.
