Popular Mardi Gras parade, festival returns to Scotlandville for fourth year

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A popular parade and festival returns to the north Baton Rouge area.

For the last four years, the Scotlandville area has hosted the annual parade and celebration by the Krewe of Oshun Baton Rouge.

The north Baton Rouge parade rolls at noon on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, with the festivities happening immediately after. The celebration will conclude at 6 p.m.

Vendors, musicians, dancers, organizations, and creatives are invited to register to be part of the celebration.

Parade entries are on a first-come, first-serve basis. The organization said Baton Rouge residents have priority when applying. Baton Rouge applicants have until Nov. 30 before registration is opened to other entities outside of city limits.
