BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) — The East Baton Rouge Parish School System will host the Red Stick Invitational Basketball Tournament from Nov. 19 to Nov. 23.
Student-athletes from the Greater Baton Rouge area will show off their skills and sportsmanship on the court.
Former NFL, LSU and Tulane quarterback Lester Ricard Jr. will spearhead the tournament, according to a press release.
“I am honored to be a part of the Red Stick Invitational, an event that not only showcases the incredible basketball talent in our community but also instills important life and teamwork-building skills in our student-athletes. I believe this tournament will leave a lasting impact on the participants and the community,” said Ricard, an EBR Schools athletics supervisor.
