BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Louisiana Restaurant Association Greater Baton Rouge Chapter will be putting on its second Oktoberfest at Point-Marie on Oct. 5 from 6-9 p.m.

Oktoberfest will be filled with live entertainment, contests and German-inspired cuisine for attendees to try. Click here to purchase your tickets for this year’s Oktoberfest. Tickets are $50.

According to LRA, the following restaurants that will be in attendance for the event at Pointe-Marie:

  • The Overpass Merchant
  • Off the Hook
  • L’Auburge Casino & Resort
  • Walk On’s Sport Bistreaux
  • Country Pleasin’ Sausauge
  • The Gregory at the Watermark Hotel
  • Fresh Chef Kitchen
  • Go Eat Concepts
  • P-Beau’s
  • Modesto

In addition to those restaurants, four area ProStart programs will be serving German-style dishes, LRA said. Some of the original culinary creations will include beer and cheese soup with pretzel, currywurst with sauerkraut, black forest German cheesecake, and whipper parsnips with marzin braised beef.

“The 2nd Annual Oktoberfest is a recipe for success, blending the joy of community, the zest of culinary innovation, and the sizzle of lively entertainment, said Brad Watts, Oktoberfest Committee Chair. “It’s where Baton Rouge comes together to raise a toast to our industry’s future, all while having a stein-holding good time!”

The event is dedicated to supporting LRA programs, including ProStart.
