BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Baton Rouge firefighters are investigating after a home caught on fire twice.

The Baton Rouge Fire Department said no one was at the 2800 Eaton Street home at the time of the initial fire at 2:54 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20. Firefighters found heavy fire and smoke at the back of the home. The fire department said the fire had reached the attic before it was quickly extinguished.

Crews returned to the home after a second fire started Thursday morning.

No further details were released by the fire department. Emergency medical services, Entergy and the Red Cross also responded to the scene.
