BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating after a woman was beaten to death Thursday.
Police said Melinda Reed, 66, was beaten in the 3500 block of Riverway Drive. She was taken to the hospital but died due to multiple injuries to her head and face, police said.
According to the police, Denise Law, 37, was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. Law was charged with first-degree murder.
