BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Three rock bands from across the southeast region are coming to Baton Rouge to raise money for an event hosted by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital on Saturday, Aug. 27.

Bands from Baton Rouge, Metairie, Memphis, Germantown, and Pearland will each perform a set to raise money towards the 2022 St. Jude Jam. Fans will be able to vote on their favorite performance by donating to virtual tip jars that are linked to St. Jude. All proceeds will be donated directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. All participants in the St. Jude Jam are high school students.

“This concert is about kids helping kids,” said Sam Jeter, 16, a sophomore at the Dunham School, and the guitarist for the Baton Rouge House Band. “St. Jude Jam will feature great music and great food for a great cause–supporting the life-saving work of St. Jude, which provides free treatment to kids fighting cancer.”

The St. Jude Jam will be held on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Shed BBQ and Blues Joint, 7477 Burbank Dr.
