Belle Rose man arrested by Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on battery charges

LABADIEVILLE, La (BRPROUD) – Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) has announced the arrest of a Belle Rose man on felony charges following a domestic dispute.

Sheriff Leland Falcon said that 26-year-old Trevis Michael Ray was arrested on battery charges and simple criminal damage to property charges after an altercation at a rental complex. According to Falcon, APSO uniformed patrol officers were called to respond to a disturbance at Pierre Part rental complex. When deputies arrived, they talked to the complainant who told them that their former partner came to the complex earlier in the day and caused an incident that resulted in hitting the woman in the face, pushing her to the ground and destroying personal property.

Leland said that deputies observed evidence which confirmed the complainant’s allegations. The evidence they gathered included personal injuries and damaged personal property.

The accused was identified as Ray and a search began. Ray was located in Napoleonville, La. Ray was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center where he is currently in jail and waiting for a bond hearing.
