PORT ALLEN, La. (BRPROUD) — The Blues After School program will be returning for the fourth year, West Baton Rouge Museum announced Wednesday.

The museum said its partnership with Rockin’ Mozart Music Academy and support from the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation have allowed the program to continue.

The Blues After School program provides middle and high school students in the parish with a free music enrichment program throughout the school year. The program, which takes place on Friday afternoons from September to April, allows students to learn how to play instruments and blues music, according to the museum.

“Students currently enrolled are planning on returning, and we only have a few more spaces available for interested West Baton Rouge middle and high school students,” said Director of Programs and Partnerships Jeannie Luckett.
