For nearly 20 years, you’ve known us as NBC33 news…but that’s changed now as we debut a new studio, new reporters and anchors and our new look as Local 33 News.
For months, we’ve worked to rebuild our station from the ground up to bring you the most compelling news experience out there. That means over a dozen high definition TVs, a set exclusively for interviews and an ever-changing background full of Louisiana culture.
We’ve got top of the line weather graphics that you’ll only find from our storm tracker team. We have eight HD monitors to show you the latest in weather and traffic. Our hi-res forecast data can track storms down to your neighborhood, minute by minute.
It’s been a real labor of love for all of us here at Local 33 News and we couldn’t be more excited for you to join us on this journey. We are BR Proud.
“I think that the feeling is one of accomplishment, achievement because you look at where you started and then you look at down the road two months and you see the magnificent changes, you see people are growing, people are learning new things and we see this is not the same station that it was two months ago” explains morning news anchor, Deedra Wilson.
News Director, Gary Wordlaw, says “We’re very happy to be able to bring the people of Baton Rouge another voice in town that we hope they’ll find very informative and entertaining.”
You can catch your Local 33 News team weeknights at 5, 6 and 10 pm.
