BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC) released a new five-year economic development plan dubbed “BRING IT! Baton Rouge” on Wednesday.
“BRING IT! embodies, both in brand and in substance, the energy that we have heard from the regional business community in knowing that this region has unbelievable potential, and a renewed commitment of leadership to drive serious, measurable progress,” said Adam Knapp, president and CEO of BRAC.
The plan has four “interconnected” goals — Bolster our Talent Pipeline, Diversify our Industry Base and Job Opportunities, Create a More Inclusive Economy and Enhance our Region’s Liveability.
BRAC says other goals of the plan include establishing BR Works as the region’s premier jobs portal, partnering with Forum 225 on young professional talent retention, creating career opportunities for K-12 students, and more.
There are more than $3.3 million committed for each of the five years, according to BRAC.
