BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) says it will be delaying the start of the Spring 2022 semester by one week.

Classes were originally scheduled to start Monday, Jan. 10 but have now been rescheduled to Tuesday, Jan. 18, according to BRCC.

This delay will shift some dates on the school’s calendar such as BRCC’s Spring Commencement. The commencement will be held on Friday, May 20 instead of May 13.

BRCC said the Mardi Gras holiday and Spring Break dates will remain the same. The Mardi Gras holiday will be Monday, Feb. 28 and Tuesday, March 1. Spring Break will be from Saturday, April 16 through Sunday, April 24.
