BREC’S Baton Rouge is bringing the zoo to you! They’re posting more to their Facebook and Instagram pages than ever before in an effort to bridge the gap between the animals and those of you who love them during the governor’s stay at home order.

In an effort to keep patrons safe, the Zoo closed its gates back on March 17th. And ever since, zookeepers have been sharing their daily routines with the public via social media.

“We are involving the public by seeing what’s going on with the animals right now behind the scenes,” said Marketing and Public Relations Director Robyn Lott. ” We’re having our keepers do keeper chats, much like they normally would do if you were in the zoo for a regular day at the zoo.

They’re also teaching fun facts about the animals and encouraging youngsters to share what they’re learning about their favorite animals. To follow the Zoo on Facebook, just click here.
