BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Think your furry friend can win a costume competition?
BREC will host its annual Trick and Treat: Art Unleashed event from 5-8 p.m. on Oct. 20 at Forest Community Park.
BREC officials said the event will raise awareness for local dog shelters and adoption agencies – with a dog costume contest, dog portraits, and vendors selling dog-inspired arts and crafts. All sizes and breeds are welcome to participate. Local shelters will also be at the event along with live music and food.
Contestants can pre-register online or at the event from 5-5:30 p.m. The contest will begin at 6 p.m. First, second, and third place prizes are donated by Raising Canes.
