Firefighters arrived at Brother Moe’s/Ann’s Grocery and immediately went to work putting the fire out.
According to the Baton Rouge Fire Department, “Firefighters arrived on scene to find one occupant safe outside and heavy smoke coming from the building.”

Once that wall was cleared, firefighters used seven total units, four pumpers and one ladder to put the fire out.
It took over five and a half hours for firefighters to extinguish the fire.
There are no reported injuries due to this fire.
The structure sustained $750,000 in damages.
EMS, BRPD, Entergy and DPW assisted the Baton Rouge Fire Department at the scene.
