BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The COVID-19 pandemic has brought much heartbreak sadness around the world.
Locally, there have also been joyous stories of recovery from the virus.
One local hospital is finding another way to bring hope during the 4th surge.
The Baton Rouge General’s Survivor Wall marks everyone who has survived COVID-19 and left the hospital.
Those marks come in the form of hearts.
That wall looks rather full and as of Thursday, there are “2,412 hearts representing COVID survivors discharged home since the pandemic began.”
Since the beginning of this month, 357 hearts have been added to this wall.
On Thursday, there are currently 194 COVID-19 patients in Baton Rouge General.
