BRPD arrest 17-year-old in connection to Greenwell Street homicide

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Baton Rouge Police have arrested a 17-year-old suspect in connection to a homicide that occurred on Greenwell Street last month.

BRPD said the 17-year-old suspect was booked into the Juvenile Detention Center. He faces charges of second-degree murder, illegal use of a weapon, illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile and obstruction of justice.

On Sept. 18, Jamone Williams Jr., 19, was found shot to death in his vehicle in the 2700 block of Greenwell Street.
