BRPD identifies 64-year-old shooting victim

A dispute led to the shooting death of a 64-year-old Baton Rouge man on Saturday morning. 

The Baton Rouge Police Department identified the shooting victim as David Riggins, of 10142 Knights Bridge Ct.

BRPD said, “Riggins was shot by Vernon Mosby, 32 after having some type of dispute around 6:30am this morning at Riggins home.”

Riggins did not survive and according to the Baton Rouge Police Department, “Mosby was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for 2nd Degree Murder.”

The investigation remains open.
