BRPD identify shooting victim found inside vehicle

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Baton Rouge Police Department was called to the scene of a deadly shooting on Monday night.

The shooting took place on Napoleon St. near Myrtle Ave.

BRPD says 25-year-old George Stevenson “was observed in the driver’s seat of a Hyundai vehicle suffering apparent gunshot wounds.”

Stevenson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other people under the age of 20 were shot and taken to a hospital.

Both individuals sustained “non-life-threatening injuries,” according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.

The investigation into this deadly shooting remains open.
