BRPD arrest suspect in connection to homicide on North Acadian Thruway

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Baton Rouge Police arrested one individual in connection to a homicide on N. Acadian Thruway.

On Wednesday, June 30, BRPD arrested the suspect, 38-year-old Antonio Palmer, in connection to the death of Keldric Lewis in May.

BRPD investigators said robbery is believed to be the motive of the homicide.

Palmer was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and faces charges of Second Degree Murder and Armed Robbery.

Authorities said a Crime Stoppers tip played a vital role in this investigation.


BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD)- Baton Rouge Police Detectives are investigating the death of 42-year-old Keldric Lewis on the 1500 block of North Acadian.

Lewis was found unresponsive around 9 p.m. He was transported to the hospital where he died.

Investigators believe that robbery played as a potential motive.

This is an ongoing investigation.
