BRPD investigating shooting death of 37-year-old man

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Local detectives are investigating the shooting death of a 37-year-old man.

A spokesperson from the Baton Rouge Police Department said the shooting occurred on Aug. 28 in the 2500 block of Choctaw Drive at around 11 p.m. The victim, identified as Arkeen Oubre, was shot multiple times while inside his vehicle, according to BRPD.

Police said Oubre was found by officers and taken to a local hospital where he died as a result of his injuries earlier Wednesday.

BRPD said the motive and suspect are unknown and urge anyone with information to call 225-389-4869 or Crime Stoppers at 225-344-7867.
