BATON ROUGE, LA (WVLA/WGMB) The Baton Rouge Police Department has continued its forward momentum in capturing violent offenders.
While homicides are down 20% the last two years, the department is not taking any victory laps. “There’s still much to be done” says Chief Murphy Paul.
The recent arrests in Baton Rouge further prove how tired the community is of the violence. They are our biggest asset.” Paul goes on to say “keep talking to us Baton Rouge because we’re going to keep listening.”
Baton Rouge Police Detectives arrested 3 juveniles this morning who were involved in a shooting that occurred on February 8, 2020 in the 10100 block of The Grove Ave. The male juveniles, 14, 15, and 16 years of age, were booked into Juvenile Detention for 2nd Degree Murder by the Louisiana State Police Fugitive Task Force.
Since the beginning of January 2020, Baton Rouge Police have arrested a total of 6 individuals for Homicide, 4 individuals for Attempted Murder and 1 for shooting a gun without injury.
The Baton Rouge Police Department is asking for the community continued support and assistance in solving crimes.
