UPDATE: The East Baton Rouge Parish Communications District 911 center says they are aware that 911 callers may still be experiencing a drop or interruption during calls.
The dropped calls issue has been temporarily fixed by transferring the primary 911 lines to backup 911 lines, but AT&T is still working to find the initial cause.
Dropped calls won’t interrupt emergency responses but emergency service agencies will continue any response in progress if a call is dropped, according to an official press release. Callers should still call 911 back if their call gets dropped.
