Capital Area Human Services (CAHS) is hosting a Pain Management Symposium to discuss advances in non-opioid pain care.
The keynote presentation by David W. Gavel, PhD, from Southern Behavioral Medicine Associates in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, will describe their multidisciplinary pain rehabilitation program.
The symposium will be held on Thursday, May 30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at East Baton Rouge Parish Recreation and Parks Commission’s Milton J. Womack Ballroom, 6201 Florida Blvd., in Baton Rouge. The event is free and open to anyone in the community.
A panel of regional practitioners and group discussion will follow the keynote presentation to review non-opioid pain management resources and improvements in the local system of care.
