BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – First responders received a call about a vehicle into a house on Wednesday morning.
The call came in around 7:00 a.m. and the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office is assisting the Baton Rouge Fire Department and St. George Fire Department at the scene.
The scene is located at 768 Bayou Fountain Ave.
SGFD says, “the driver of the car was trapped in the vehicle and was extricated from the wreckage by St. George firefighters.”
The driver was sent to a local hospital after the crash.
Three inhabitants and two dogs were at the home when the crash took place.
The only injury was to one of the dogs.
According to the St. George Fire Department, “it was taken to a local veterinarian by a neighbor.”
The other dog left the scene after the crash and returned later.
EBR EMS and the Red Cross provided assistance at the scene.
