BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) – CareSouth Medical and Dental is working with Southern University Athletics to get students ready for the 2020-2021 school year by providing school supplies.

CareSouth is handing out over 800 backpacks filled with school supplies, masks and earbuds during their drive thru testing on August 8 from 10 a.m till 1 p.m at the Southern University Minidome.

“We’re looking forward to giving back to the Baton Rouge area through our back to school drive and providing much-needed support to the community during these unprecedented times,” said Matthew Valliere, CareSouth CEO.  “We believe in providing support to our community during its time of need.”

Supplies will be issued on a first-come first-serve basis and those receiving the supplies do not have to be tested.

The only requirement to get tested is to be over the age of 12.

CareSouth will cover the cost of the test for those who do not have health insurance.
